Supportive, evidenced-based care for individuals and couples
Relationships are complicated. Whether you’re feeling stuck in the same argument loop, dealing with conflicts that feel unresolved, or feeling emotionally or physically disconnected, I’m here to help support you and whatever challenges you and your partner are facing.
I take a systemic approach with relational work. This focus recognizes that relationships are shaped not only by individual experiences, but also by family histories, social contexts, past relationships, cultural identities, and broader systems of power. In our work together, we can examine the ways these influences may be contributing towards patterns of conflict and disconnection. I tailor my approach to meet the needs of your relationship, while incorporating my trained experienced with the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy.
During therapy sessions, we will practice new ways of communicating and relating to each other while we also work to help deepen your connection, trust, and intimacy. I also focus on creating a therapy space where both partners feel heard, safe to express their emotions, and respected.
Couples Therapy
Our work could explore:
Communication challenges
Adjusting to new parenthood, empty nesting, or retirement
Repetitive conflicts
Disconnection and rebuilding connection
Sex and intimacy concerns
Developmental or relational trauma
Affairs / Infidelity
Rebuilding trust
Individual therapy (15+)
I use an attachment-based approach to help you explore a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationship with others. I tailor my therapy approach to fit your needs, while bringing my experience and trainings with Emotionally Focused Therapy and Somatic Experiencing.
In our work together, we can slow things down to examine and better understand your behaviors, internal beliefs, and family of origin patterns. This deeper exploration can help us better understand how and why certain strategies developed and consider whether these adaptations still serve you now. Throughout therapy, my goal in our work together is to help increase your sense of self-awareness, self-compassion, and self- regulation.
Our work could explore:
Healing from childhood, relational, or sexual trauma
Coping with nervous system overload
Seeking relief from anxiety or depression
Work related stress or burn-out
Coping with friendship changes, break-ups, or divorce
Increasing emotional expression
